My Dinner With Andre – inspired thoughts, realisations, synchronicities
We avoid our liberation until it’s the only thing that makes us feel alive. Until then, we convince ourselves we’re free—when really, we’re just comfortably confined in well-decorated cages, cutting off pieces of our soul to fit into a box someone else defined. That’s the tragedy: we become content in the content of the box. And when someone steps out of it, when someone starts dancing in freedom, the boxed ones panic. They don’t see liberation—they see insanity. Because freedom, when you’re still in chains, looks like chaos.
But what if the chaos is the truth?
The child doesn’t ask for permission to create. The child is creation. That’s why the child never dies. Only adults do. Adultism is the slow death of curiosity, the decay of the divine. That’s why we must return—to the immortal child within. Improvise life. Fall in love with not knowing. Because what is art, if not the refusal to live in a template?
Everything is improvisation—death, love, rebirth. The mind tries to script it, but the soul just wants to play. It knows the story already, it’s not here for the plot—it’s here for the performance. So, we say yes to the unthinkable. Not because we understand it, but because it whispers to us in the language of our deepest remembering.
Synchronicity isn’t coincidence—it’s choreography. And the surrealist is the only one watching the steps.
