Addiction: A Wider Lens on a Human Reflex

We’re all addicts. Not in the way we’ve been told, but in the very nature of being alive. We’re addicted to water, to love, to the sun. To movement, to music, to ideas. Our consciousness is curious—it wants to experience itself in a million different ways, and addiction is one of the ways it anchors into form.

The word has been weaponized, but addiction itself is neutral. It’s the intention behind it that changes everything. Are you choosing it because it feeds your vision? Or because it silences your truth?

This is how I’ve been living lately—addicted to alignment, to 4Honeth, to my own sacred North Pole. I let myself diversify my energies: guitar in hand, romantic partner in spirit, physical training for the missions ahead. If I didn’t channel it all, I’d obsess over just one part—and that’s not balance, that’s burnout.

The goal isn’t to avoid addiction. It’s to intentionally choose what you’ll be obsessed with today—and make sure it’s something your soul would stand behind.
