We’ve been conditioned to hear “submission” and think “weakness.” As if yielding in any way means losing yourself. But metaphysically, submission is not defeat — it is an act of profound strength. It is the feminine aspect of trust, the surrender that allows universal intelligence to move through you without obstruction.
Submission isn’t about abandoning your own will; it’s about recognizing the inevitability of certain currents in your life. Think of a river: you can fight the flow and exhaust yourself, or you can align with it and let it carry you to your destination. Submission is that alignment — not passive drift, but intentional surrender to what is already unfolding.
It’s like holding a door open. In the journey of life, people crawl, they walk, they run, they stumble, they dance, they climb, they sit, they lie down, they rest indefinitely — each at their own pace. Submission says, “I know I can walk through this doorway for myself, and I choose to hold the door for you too. I trust your pace because I see the star in you — just as I’ve practiced remembering the star within me.” Holding the door doesn’t diminish your power; it amplifies your compassion. It’s a declaration that we are interconnected, yet sovereign.
True submission demands fierce confidence. It cannot be half‑hearted. Half‑hearted submission — going along out of fear or obligation — breeds chaos and resentment. But intentional submission — choosing to soften because you trust the timing and intelligence of life — creates space for miracles. It is an investment in the relationship, whether with yourself, another person, or the universe.
Submission is fluid. It is not a rule or an expectation. You do not exist to bow to anyone’s will, nor to demand others bow to yours. You surrender when it aligns with your soul and the greater good. You hold the door when it feels true. And you step forward when your own star calls you. Balancing these movements is the art.
In a world obsessed with control, submission is radical. It says: I am strong enough to let go. I am connected enough to trust. I am wise enough to know that sometimes the most powerful move is to surrender to the inevitable, and in doing so, allow love to lead.
