No Such Thing as Distractions: Responsibility, Freedom, and the Sacred Art of Self

There are no distractions in this universe.

There never were.

There is only what we allow to move our attention away from our own center. From our own knowing. And the more we give energy to the outside—blaming this, resenting that—the more we quietly deny the one truth we always come back to: we are responsible for our experience.

You see, the cosmos doesn’t throw distractions at you. It reflects what you permit, what you value, what you prioritize. It’s a mirror with infinite patience, waiting for you to take the wheel or to keep pretending you’re a passenger.

So ask yourself—what priorities drive your life?

Is it freedom?

Then freedom is what you must practice. In every small window where life gives you a choice, where the soul nudges you toward alignment—you either step into it or you sidestep your own becoming.

You want to grab an ice cream? Beautiful. Taste it fully. Let the pleasure be holy. And then? Go home and drink a detox tea—because the soul seeks balance, not rules. It seeks expression, not restriction.

You want to smoke? Cool. Do it with presence. Take your mullein drops throughout the day. Love your lungs. Love the self that is choosing and the self that is healing simultaneously. It’s not contradiction—it’s wholeness.

You love music? You want to play that Prince song you’ve always dreamed of? Then begin. Not someday. Today. Start by choosing a guitar that makes your spirit sing. Then find someone who speaks to your rhythm, who can guide you—not because you need them, but because you desire to commune in your becoming.

Because here’s the thing: we don’t need anything. We’re infinite beings, immortal souls wearing these bodies like borrowed robes. We’re not broken. We’re not fallen. We’re chosen.

Chosen to experience the illusion of separation—so we could know what it feels like to find our way back home.

And isn’t that beautiful enough?

We spend so much time trying to look the part. To dress smart, act smart, speak smart—so we can be seen as smart. But what if the suit isn’t a symbol of wisdom, but a costume stitched in fear? A flag of ownership to an identity that was never ours to begin with?

“I wear this, so I must be respectable. I must be confident. I must be successful.”
But none of that means anything when you’re disconnected from your truth.

I’ve stood in rooms of people all trying to be something—but few trying to be themselves. Reciting lines from outdated manuscripts of selfhood, too afraid to peek into the abyss of the unknown, where the real creation begins.

Because to be a conscious creator is to welcome the vastness.
It is to co-create with the universe, not as a beggar, but as a beloved child.
One who says: “I desire this,” and watches the universe whisper back, “So be it.”

Every perceived problem contains its own solution. The friction births the flame.
Was the problem made for the solution, or the solution for the problem?
The egg or the chicken? Who cares.

Just do it.

Because when the self is guiding the way, you cannot be distracted.
The self is the north pole. The compass. The lighthouse on stormy nights.
The soul always has your back—and will show you, through reflection, where you end and the other begins. And in that space, you’ll see where unity is calling you to rise.

A healed self is a powerful self.
But healing doesn’t happen through conflict with yourself.
It happens through integration. Through all parts of you showing up for the whole.
Through acceptance, not denial. Through allowing, not resisting.

So if freedom is what you seek, then start living as if you’re free.
Make every choice in devotion to your own truth, not someone else’s map.
Because when you live from that place, when the soul is in the driver’s seat—
distractions cease to exist.

There’s only life.
Only now.
Only you.

In all your divine, ever-unfolding power.
