Stop Asking for Advice: Why Only You Can Decide for You

Radical Responsibility and the Sacred Sovereignty of Self

Before You Read: A Cosmic Invitation to Discernment
Detach from my story. That’s the invitation. If you’re here, there’s something for you—some frequency embedded in these words that is meant to awaken or affirm a part of your own path. Take what resonates. Leave what doesn’t. The universe doesn’t play games. If it placed this message in your hands, trust there’s gold in it for your soul.

We’ve been conditioned to think that wisdom lives outside of us. That someone else always knows better. That we should crowdsource clarity before taking action, especially when the stakes feel high.
So we go to friends, mentors, strangers online—asking, “What would you do if you were me?”

But they’re not you.
And that’s exactly the point.

Advice is a Distraction from Self-Trust

There’s a subtle but dangerous habit many of us carry: when life offers us a decision, we look outward first.
We seek advice not because we don’t know—but because we don’t trust that we already do.

We fear being wrong. We fear messing it up. We fear judgment.
And so we dilute our own power by outsourcing our knowing.

But here’s the truth: nobody can tell you what to do with your life without making it theirs.

Even with the best intentions, advice is laced with projection.
Everyone sees the world through the lens of their own wounds, desires, fears, patterns, and timelines.

So when you ask someone what they’d do if they were in your shoes, they don’t imagine your soul.
They project their story onto your life.

And that, however well-meaning, is a distortion.
That is the root of misalignment or a great place for you to reinforce what you already knew, as not all advice requests are bad, you just have to show up with a decision ready.

Bouncing ≠ Begging

This isn’t to say you must walk through life alone.
It’s healthy to bounce ideas, to speak your thoughts aloud, to share the weight of decision-making energetically with someone who holds space, not control.

But there’s a world of difference between reflecting and relying.

There’s a world of difference between,
“Can I speak this out loud so I can hear myself think?”
vs.
“What do you think I should do?”

The first builds clarity.
The second erodes trust.

The Cost of Crowdsourced Clarity

Every time you go to someone else for answers about your own life, you teach your inner voice it is not enough.
You train your intuition to go quiet.
You reinforce a belief that says: Someone else must know better than me.

Over time, that builds dependence.
And that dependence becomes paralysis.
You become a puppet to permission.

But your life is not a committee project.
Your soul did not incarnate to follow instructions from the sidelines.
Your mission is not up for debate.

And if your path was meant to be universal, it would already come with a map.

But it doesn’t. Because you are not here to be safe. You are here to be sovereign.

The Sacred Art of Deciding

Deciding, in its truest form, is a spiritual act.
It is a declaration to the universe that says:
“I am here. I am awake. I will walk forward, even if I walk alone.”

To make a decision without needing validation is to reclaim your energy.
To choose your path without explanation is to honor your own soul contract.

You can receive support.
You can gather context.
But you cannot ask anyone to take responsibility for your becoming, nor think you’re responsible for their becoming. Life is about willingness to rise, we can throw shit on a wall, and notice not all will stick, because it was never about the throw, it was always about the shit doing its thing.

We’re all pieces of shit LOL made of the same consciousness, just manifesting differently.

Responsibility is yours. Entirely yours.

If It’s Yours to Live, It Must Be Yours to Choose

At the end of the day, nobody else is going to live with your choices.
Nobody else will carry the empowerment.
Nobody else will feel the ache of misalignment, or the thrill of rightness, in your bones.

So why would you let anyone else decide?

You’re allowed to make “mistakes.”
You’re allowed to change your mind.
You’re allowed to fall, rise, recalibrate, and reimagine everything.

But let it be you who chose.
Not someone who spoke louder.
Not someone you idolized.
Not someone whose approval you craved.

Let it be you. Always you.

Because every time you choose for yourself, even imperfectly, you signal to the universe: I am ready to be the author of my life.

And that is a portal.
That is a prayer.
That is power.

Final Words: Radical Responsibility is the Birthplace of Freedom

The most liberating moment of your life is the one where you stop asking people what to do and start listening to the you who already knows.

She’s been whispering beneath the noise.
He’s been waiting behind the questions.
They’ve been patiently watching as you gave your sovereignty away.

It’s not that advice is inherently wrong—it’s that it’s incomplete.
And often, it’s a way we delay our own awakening.

So bounce things if you need to. Speak it out. Share your thoughts.

But when it comes to choosing—
Choose alone.

And let that choice be the foundation of a life built by truth, not permission.

🌀
With fire and responsibility,
From one sovereign soul to another.
