You Were Never Lacking Freedom — Only Abundance

There is a quiet misunderstanding that has shaped how most people move through life, and it sits so deep that few ever question it, because it feels obvious, it feels inherited, it feels like truth, and that misunderstanding is this idea that we are chasing freedom when, in reality, many of us already have it in ways we fail to recognise.

Because freedom is not only the absence of constraint at the highest level, not only the ability to do anything at any time without limitation, freedom also exists in the micro, in the everyday, in the smallest decisions we make without even acknowledging their significance, and when you begin to look closely, you start to see it everywhere.

If you have £5 in your pocket—

You are already free.

Free to choose.

Free to decide.

Free to direct energy.

You can turn that £5 into a meal, into alcohol, into drugs, into something you resell, into a lottery ticket, into a dress, into something useful, something destructive, something neutral, something transformative.

The choice is yours.

And that is freedom.

Not perfect freedom.

Not unlimited freedom.

But real freedom in action.

And what expands this even further is the reality that the more accessible life becomes, the more options multiply, the more choices open up, the more directions that same £5 can take, because the system, in its current form, has leaned heavily into accessibility, into quantity over quality, into making more available at lower cost, which increases the field of choice even if it dilutes the depth of what is being offered.

So the math becomes simple.

More access—

More choice—

More micro-freedom.

And yet—

People still feel trapped.

Still feel restricted.

Still feel like they are lacking something fundamental.

And that is because what is missing is not freedom.

It is abundance.

But not just external abundance.

Internal abundance first.

Because if you do not feel abundant within, no amount of external freedom will stabilise you, no amount of options will feel enough, no amount of choice will translate into clarity, and you will keep moving as if something is missing, even when everything required to act is already present.

Abundance is not just having more.

It is the capacity to feel full before having everything.

To feel resourced before the resources multiply.

To feel grounded in sufficiency even when the numbers don’t yet reflect the vision.

And that is where the real work is.

Because abundance without internal alignment becomes excess without direction.

And freedom without internal grounding becomes chaos without purpose.

So the two must meet.

Like yin and yang were never meant to be separated—

Internal and external were never meant to function independently.

What you feel within must meet what you create without.

What you hold internally must stabilise what you build externally.

Otherwise, one collapses the other.

And this is where the system shows its limitation.

Because while it has expanded access, while it has multiplied options, while it has created a landscape where freedom exists in small, constant ways, it has not cultivated internal abundance at the same rate.

So you have a world full of choice—

Without the inner stability to navigate it.

A world full of access—

Without the internal sense of enoughness to use it wisely.

And that creates imbalance.

Because without internal abundance, freedom feels overwhelming, misused, or insufficient.

And without external abundance, internal fullness cannot fully express itself in the material world.

So one without the other remains incomplete.

And this is where the shift happens.

Where you realise—

What you were chasing as freedom was already present.

You already had the ability to choose.

To act.

To direct.

To decide.

Even in the smallest ways.

What was missing was not that.

What was missing was the abundance required to stabilise that freedom into something coherent, something sustainable, something aligned with your larger vision.

I had to recognise this for myself.

That what I thought I was chasing—

I already had.

What I needed to develop was the internal and external financial abundance that could support the dreams I carry, the systems I want to build, the stability I want to create, not just for myself but in a way that reflects harmony across everything I touch.

Because freedom alone does not build.

It allows.

But abundance—

Abundance sustains.

Abundance stabilises.

Abundance grounds vision into reality.

So the work becomes clear.

Not to chase freedom as if it is absent—

But to recognise it where it already exists.

And then to build abundance, within and without, so that that freedom can be used with clarity, with intention, with coherence.

Because the goal is not just to be free.

It is to be free and resourced enough to create something that lasts.

And that—

That is a different pursuit entirely.

….

It’s like how people need to feel the loss of you to realise the being you are.. why not realise it when it’s present, and we can save each other and all, valuable energy?!

……………………………………………………………………………………………….

write this pice having people see they already have freedom, it’s abundance they need to do the internal work for, meaning to feel abundant without having, to then put the two together, as yin and yang were never created to be seprate, but united, both within and without. at this stage you start to realise how financial freedom we already have, because if we have ways to buy the minimum, that’s freedom of choice. We have the responsibility to choose how to use it at any given moment in time. If I have 5£ i can use it for a meal, for alcohol, for drugs, to buy something I can resell, to buy a lottery ticket, to buy a cheap dress… so many things and the choice only gets largers and larger the more accessories to life we create at a cheaper rate so that it is accessible. The economy has lowered itself to quantity over quality, the math is simple. What our system doesn’t have is financial abundance to stabilise things, because it requires a sense of abundance from within that is unmatched so far. I had to reckognise the thing I used to chase I already had, what I needed to focus on was the financial abundace to bring about my dreams of stabilisation in harmony holistically. The two aren’t the same.
