My blog will always be a limited version of me.
Not because it lacks depth.
Because no archive can fully contain a living human being.
The words are real.
The thoughts are real.
The experiences are real.
But they are still echoes.
The real deal stands behind them, in the physical world.
Some people will find me through the blog and eventually meet the person.
Others will meet the person and eventually find the blog.
Different directions.
Same destination.
That is why I never confuse the archive with the author.
The blog is a map.
I am the territory.
The blog is the echo.
I am the voice.
The blog is the signal.
I am the source.
And the beautiful thing is that whichever direction someone takes, they eventually discover the same thing:
The person and the writing recognise each other.
Because the blog is not separate from me.
It is simply the part of me that learned how to stay behind when I leave the room.
