Recognition, Harmony, and the Leo That Knows Itself

One of the greatest gifts in understanding the zodiac is that it gives language to patterns that many people experience but cannot always articulate. Whether one treats astrology as psychology, symbolism, archetype, or something deeper, the pattern remains useful when it helps us understand ourselves more clearly.

For Leos, one of the great love potions is recognition.

Not attention.

Recognition.

Those are not the same thing.

Attention can be given to anything. A scandal receives attention. A mistake receives attention. A distraction receives attention. Recognition is different. Recognition says:

“I see what you are.”

“I see what you bring.”

“I see where you are going.”

“I see the effort behind the expression.”

Recognition is nourishment to a Leo in the same way sunlight nourishes a plant.

But there is a catch.

A Leo who does not know themselves can become dependent on recognition.

A Leo who knows themselves becomes discerning about recognition.

That distinction changes everything.

There have been times in my life where I rejected recognition entirely. To an outside observer, it may have looked strange. Why would a Leo reject the very thing they are supposed to enjoy? The answer is simple: because not all recognition is recognition.

Sometimes people do not recognise you.

They recognise their fantasy of you.

They recognise their projection of you.

They recognise the version of you that makes sense within their own limitations.

And if that fantasy is smaller than who you are embodying, accepting it becomes a form of self-abandonment.

So I rejected it.

Not because I did not want recognition.

Because I wanted truthful recognition.

The difference matters.

A fantasy can feel flattering while still being limiting.

A pedestal can be lower than the person standing on it.

And that is something many people misunderstand about Leos.

They assume recognition is always wanted.

It is not.

Recognition that shrinks the person is not recognition.

It is reduction.

The irony is that I often do something similar in reverse.

I see potential.

I see direction.

I see what a person could become.

People sometimes call that idealisation.

But that is not quite what it is.

When I see potential, I am not necessarily attached to the exact form it takes. I am recognising the frequency of movement. The trajectory. The direction of expansion.

It is similar to placing an image at the end of a running track.

The image is not there for you to physically reach the wall.

It is there to orient your movement.

To give your effort direction.

To remind you where you are headed.

Potential functions similarly.

The purpose is not to become the image.

The purpose is to move toward expansion.

This is where discernment enters the room.

Because discernment determines whether recognition is nourishing or distorting.

Whether potential is inspiration or fantasy.

Whether love is harmony or dependency.

Whether admiration is expansion or projection.

Discernment is what separates all of them.

Without discernment, a Leo can become addicted to applause.

With discernment, a Leo becomes selective about what they allow to define them.

This is also why I learned to give recognition to myself.

Not because external recognition became unnecessary.

Because self-recognition became foundational.

A Leo who cannot recognise themselves becomes dependent on others to do it.

A Leo who recognises themselves carries their own sun.

That does not mean external recognition loses value.

It means external recognition stops becoming the source.

It becomes a confirmation rather than a necessity.

And yet there is another layer.

People often say:

“If you recognise yourself, why do you need recognition from others at all?”

Because life is relational.

Because reality is co-created.

Because movement through the world requires interaction.

A person can know exactly who they are and still need spaces, people, systems, and communities capable of recognising what they bring.

Not to validate their existence.

To allow their contribution to move.

A seed can know it is a seed.

It still needs soil.

This is why I see recognition less as love and more as harmony.

Love can exist without understanding.

Love can exist while being messy.

Love can exist while being distorted.

Recognition creates harmony.

Recognition says:

“I see what is here.”

And from that seeing, the relationship becomes more coherent.

More aligned.

More honest.

The final piece is perhaps the most important.

A Leo is not one-dimensional.

The Sun is not one-dimensional.

The Sun feeds plants.

Warms animals.

Guides migration.

Illuminates landscapes.

Reveals colours.

Creates weather systems.

Supports ecosystems.

One source.

Many effects.

To understand a mature Leo, you cannot reduce them to a single expression.

You cannot reduce them to confidence.

To attention.

To leadership.

To creativity.

To ego.

To performance.

You lose the essence the moment you reduce the complexity.

A Leo who knows themselves is multidimensional because they recognise that life itself is multidimensional.

And because they see more dimensions within themselves, they continue expanding into them.

This is how I understand who brings harmony into my life.

Not by asking who praises me.

Not by asking who admires me.

Not by asking who loves me.

But by asking:

“Who sees me clearly?”

Who recognises the truth without reducing it?

Who recognises the potential without becoming attached to fantasy?

Who recognises the multidimensionality without trying to simplify it?

Who recognises the sun without mistaking it for a spotlight?

Because those are very different things.

And a Leo who knows themselves learns the difference.

Once they do, harmony becomes much easier to recognise too.

This goes to the Leo in everyone.

When you understand the zodiac signs, you understand that the love potion to Leo is recognition. But that’s the thing, a Leo that knows themselves knows what is worth being recognized and what isn’t. So I’ve had individuals who abused of that recognition, and in doing so, I had to reject a lot of it. I had to reject the continuity of it. And in doing so, I taught the universe, I taught the collective consciousness that I would reject recognition because I confused, well, it seemed confusing, but it wasn’t confusing on my side because I had reasoning that the person wasn’t recognizing me, they were recognizing a fantasy of me. So I communicated to them that we couldn’t be, but the thing is that their fantasy looked lower than who I actually were embodying. The imposter syndrome that I create for others is that I fall in love with their potential because that’s the direction, the frequency of the potential is the direction. that I want to take them. Whether the potential appears exactly how I want it, that doesn’t matter. The goal is to raise their vibration. An image on the wall for you to run towards while running on your tapirulan isn’t there for you to actually run towards the wall. It’s for you to run towards in, not to move towards an embodiment. As I can hear myself expelling ways of saying from the field of what has come before on the topic, whether they had further embodiment or not didn’t matter. The word didn’t stood. And when it comes to understanding how to navigate that, it all comes down to discernment at the end of the day. It really comes down to discernment because The thought that led to it was me looking at a previous relationship, thinking that I could have possibly been like love spelled or potioned, like spiked or something like that. I personally didn’t, but I do know that unfortunately people do. And when it comes to how the mind used imagination this time around, is that imagination came in the in-between. I was thinking about something that was affecting that relationship. So I was thinking about the essence of it all, like the love, like the love for Leos. And so I was thinking about my own love language and reception, like what brings harmony to me. And then I thought of the recognition to a Leo, to me. Recognition to Leos in general, because this is about Leos, is… Their way of loving and is their way of receiving love. That’s what brings them harmony because they want to be recognized for what they do and where they are and what they bring and where they’re going. Because a Leo can go anywhere with enough recognition, so I learned to give that to myself. Yeah, I still demand it. I still demand it because even if I give myself recognition, it’s not enough because if other people don’t give me recognition, then I don’t have the space to actually move and do what I am here to do. So this is an important key point of how you love a Leo, how you bring harmony to a Leo, not more than love because love can also be disharmonious. We’ve seen that. So how do you bring harmony to a Leo? And also understanding that a Leo is multidimensional. If you try and make it one-dimensional, you lose the real essence of a Leo. A Leo is not supposed to be one-dimensional. It’s like the sun. The sun gives energy to both plants, animals, and human beings and light to everything else, even to solids. It allows us to see the color of stones that might not have a light of their own visible with the eye, with the eye of the human being, that is. So if the sun is multidimensional, just like that, the Leo is multidimensional. You cannot look at a Leo with a one-dimensional lens because you will lose everything that the Leo is. And at the same time, you cannot expect a Leo that knows themselves and is grounded in self and in their vision, in their truth, and in their multidimensionality, you cannot expect them to take on a recognition that is less than because then they would embody that because they embody what they recognize. I learned that having recognized myself, I have my own bar. So how you look at Leos is you look at a Leo, you see, okay, this is their bar, this is their standard. I see more or less than that. That’s the individual experience of that Leo. And because if someone sees more to Leo than a Leo sees to themselves, then the other almost carries the Leo, right? They become a part where they continue to need that recognition. But when you find the Leo that recognizes themselves, that Leo carries themselves. You get carried with the Leo. because they will always see more to themselves, which means that they will always bring more to themselves and to the spaces around them. Because a Leo wants to nurture the place around them, wants to bring the sun to the places around them, to the darkness around them. And that’s how I understand who brings me harmony and who doesn’t.
