Backing Is Not One Thing

For every fractal I speak, there are people somewhere speaking about parts of it.

Not all of it. Some things have not been pondered on properly yet. Some things have not been raised, challenged, articulated, discovered, or connected in the way they need to be connected. But for the majority of what I speak about, there are already individuals discussing fragments of it in their own fields, their own disciplines, their own communities, their own silos.

And that is the problem.

The problem is not always that nobody knows anything. The problem is that too many people know one thing, from one place, through one lens, and then mistake that fragment for the whole. They speak from the silo of spirituality, the silo of science, the silo of politics, the silo of law, the silo of culture, the silo of emotion, the silo of trauma, the silo of money, the silo of academia, the silo of religion, the silo of business, the silo of identity, the silo of survival.

But life is not siloed.

Life does not happen in departments. Life does not ask whether something is only emotional, only physical, only spiritual, only mental, only historical, only biological, only legal, only economic, or only energetic. Life moves through all of it at once.

So when people speak from one lens without grounding themselves in the wholeness of what impacts that lens, they may have information, but they do not yet have full backing.

Backing is not one thing.

People often speak of spiritual backing as if spirit alone carries a person. But backing is not just spiritual. Backing is mental. Backing is emotional. Backing is physical. Backing is historical. Backing is nutritional. Backing is ancestral. Backing is experiential. Backing is energetic. Backing is intellectual. Backing is practical. Backing is how much data, energy, memory, movement, awareness, resilience, and responsibility a person can hold behind them while still moving forward clearly.

Mental backing is how much memory you can hold at once. How many concepts can you observe, compare, connect, and keep observing without collapsing into confusion? How many patterns can you recognise without forcing them? How many fields can you study without becoming loyal to only one of them? How much complexity can your mind hold without begging life to become smaller so you can feel safer?

Emotional backing is how many emotions you can move through without being destroyed by them. How many feelings can you name, navigate, witness, and integrate? How many emotional states can you recognise in yourself and others without drowning in projection? How much pain can you meet without reproducing it? How much anger can you hold without becoming careless? How much love can you feel without becoming dependent? How much grief can you survive without letting it turn you bitter?

Physical backing is how much your body knows how to do. How many movements does it understand? How many forms of protection has it learned? How many circumstances has it adapted to? How much strength, softness, balance, endurance, speed, stillness, and reaction does it carry? A body trained in one movement has one kind of backing. A body trained in many movements has more possibilities available to it.

Nutritional backing is also real. How much can your body receive? How much biodiversity can it process? How much has it learned to convert into life? There are foods I used to be intolerant to that I taught my body to meet slowly, carefully, in microdoses. What was once limitation became adaptation. What was once rejected became something my system could process. That is not only nutrition. That is a life principle.

Many people want resilience without exposure. They want strength without contact. They want immunity without meeting the thing that tests the system. But the body, the mind, the emotions, and the spirit all learn through relationship. Avoidance may protect you from an immediate reaction, but it can also keep you weak against the very thing life may later require you to withstand.

This is why backing matters.

Backing is how much information you have behind you. How much energy you have behind you. How much life you have metabolised. How much reality you can hold without breaking your own coherence.

If someone only has money, then their backing goes as far as their money goes. If someone has money and emotional awareness, then their backing goes as far as their money and emotional awareness go. If someone does not have money, but has emotional awareness, mental awareness, spiritual awareness, physical resilience, historical understanding, and the ability to observe patterns across life, then they are not empty. They are carrying forms of backing that money alone cannot buy.

Money is one form of backing.

It is not the whole field.

A person backed only by money may collapse the moment money cannot solve the problem. A person backed by mind, emotion, spirit, body, history, and responsibility can keep moving because their source is distributed. Their foundation is not locked in one currency. Their intelligence is not trapped in one asset. Their continuity does not disappear because one support system failed.

This is where spiritual backing becomes clearer too.

Spiritual backing is not only lineage. It is not only ancestry. It is not only prayer. It is also reverence. It is also continuation. It is also the way we honour those who came before by keeping their creations alive in practice, not only in memory.

To honour Einstein is not simply to remember his name. It is to continue expanding the laws he helped articulate. It is to let his work live beyond its original era. It is to bridge what was discovered then into what must be understood now. That is immortality through continuation. That is how past creation becomes present intelligence and future architecture.

The same is true for every creator, thinker, builder, healer, scientist, artist, ancestor, reformer, and truth-teller who gave something to the world. Respect is not passive admiration. Respect is continuation with responsibility.

This is why the old wedding saying carries more metaphysical intelligence than people realise: something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.

Something old is the law that came before us. The root. The memory. The original intelligence. The universal principles that existed before our personal interpretations.

Something new is what has not yet been lived. The system of harmony that humanity has not fully experienced. The new structure waiting to be built.

Something borrowed is the wisdom, tools, discoveries, patterns, and gifts we receive from others and carry forward with respect.

Something blue is expression. The throat. The bridge. The beauty of articulation. The way the invisible becomes spoken, shaped, seen, and carried between past and future.

But instead of applying this principle to life, systems, governance, education, healing, and human development, we reduce it to an event. A wedding becomes the place where the principle is performed, while life itself remains untouched by the intelligence behind it.

The wedding ends. The photos remain. The guests remember for a while. Then it becomes one event in an album.

But if humanity applied the principle properly, something old would be the laws of existence. Something new would be the harmony we have not yet created. Something borrowed would be the inheritance of wisdom from every field and every generation. Something blue would be our expression: the bridge that carries the old into the new through the present.

That is how life should be lived.

But people complicate life because they avoid the one complicated thing that would simplify everything.

Responsibility.

Responsibility is what connects the silos.

Responsibility is what forces the spiritual person to study the body. It forces the scientist to account for emotion. It forces the lawyer to account for humanity. It forces the politician to account for history. It forces the wealthy person to account for consequence. It forces the activist to account for coherence. It forces the wounded person to account for what they reproduce.

Without responsibility, people can know many things and still behave without wisdom.

This is why historical backing matters.

A people without historical backing can repeat the very thing that once harmed them. A nation can survive oppression and later reproduce oppression against others. A community can remember its pain as identity but forget its pain as instruction.

That is one of the things that confuses me about South Africans who recreate exclusion, hatred, or hostility toward other Africans in their own country.

How does a people who know the history of apartheid forget the danger of building social logic around separation, hierarchy, suspicion, and dehumanisation? How does a people who know what it means to be classified, restricted, oppressed, and treated as less than human then turn around and reproduce forms of that same energy toward other Africans?

That is not historical intelligence.

That is historical amnesia.

Because if a country can justify mistreating outsiders inside its borders, then other countries can use the same logic against its own citizens abroad. If South Africans living elsewhere deserve dignity, protection, fairness, and humanity, then the same principle must be extended inward. You cannot demand humanity from the world while practising selective humanity at home.

That is not smart.

That is a failure of backing.

Historical backing is not just knowing what happened. It is knowing what the past taught you well enough not to recreate it unconsciously. It is carrying the memory of pain as responsibility, not using it as permission to become cruel in another direction.

This is the danger of siloed intelligence.

People can be politically informed and emotionally immature. Spiritually aware and historically ignorant. Financially successful and morally underdeveloped. Academically trained and physically disconnected. Culturally proud and collectively irresponsible. Traumatised and still reproducing trauma while calling it protection.

Wholeness requires more.

Wholeness requires the ability to hold many forms of backing at once.

It requires memory and movement. Emotion and discipline. Spirit and body. History and future. Old and new. Borrowed wisdom and original expression. It requires the humility to recognise that no single silo can explain life because life itself is the field that holds all silos.

That is why I speak in fractals.

Because reality is fractal.

One pattern appears in the body, then in the family, then in the workplace, then in the nation, then in the legal system, then in the spiritual field, then in the economy, then in the culture, then in the self.

If you only study one appearance of the pattern, you may think you understand it.

But if you can track it across fields, you begin to see the architecture.

That is backing.

Not noise. Not confusion. Not jumping from topic to topic. Backing.

The capacity to hold the old, the new, the borrowed, and the blue. The capacity to honour the past without being trapped by it. The capacity to build the future without abandoning the present. The capacity to speak from the whole, not from a silo pretending to be the whole.

And that is where intelligence becomes responsibility.

Because the more backing you have, the less excuse you have to reproduce ignorance.

Let’s write the next piece, which is about… This is about how for every single fractal that I’ve spoken, not everyone, not all of them, because some of them no one has either pondered on or raised or challenged or been able to articulate or even discovered themselves. But for the majority of things that I talk about, majority of them individuals are talking about it in a silos manner, in all of their silos. And that is the problem, is because they’re looking at it through lenses of the silo, through the lenses of something that isn’t grounded in the wholeness of the things that actually do impact it. And intelligence data is what gives you backing, meaning that the more information you can cover, the more aspects of something you can cover, the more backing you have when people say spiritual backing is… It’s not just spiritual backing, it’s mental backing, it’s emotional backing, it’s physical backing. It’s all of it. How much memory can you hold at once, meaning mental backing, how many concepts can you… Have you already observed and can you keep observing? How emotionally, how many different emotions can you dive through, navigate through, not get affected by, to which extent, and how many emotions can you also see outside of you, be expressed and navigated as well? That is all backing. When you look at physical backing, it’s how many movements does your body know to do based on different circumstances, whether it’s protection, like how many martial arts, how many martial arts do you cover, that’s physical backing, physical protective backing. How many foods can you eat? That’s nutritional backing, because biodiversity is created in increasing the amount of things that you can eat. I used to be intolerant and I started to microdose on milk, like full-fat milk, and now I’m not intolerant anymore. I surpassed something that was a limitation by giving myself the poison, just like so many have done in the past with the hemlock and whatnot. They would consume it in small amounts so that if someone was to ever give them a large amount, their physicality, their body would have already been accustomed to it, so that they would necessarily feel the impact of the hemlock on them, but instead they would feel… they would just be consuming energy, an energy that their body is already accustomed to, and because it’s already accustomed to, it can benefit from the nutrients of the hemlock plant without the actual side effects. This process is the process that we should go through as a life process, but because people avoid, then they avoid to also make themselves more resilient to hemlock. So, backing is all about how much data, how much information, how much energy do you have behind you. If someone has money, their backing is as limited as their money goes. If someone has money and emotional awareness, then they can go forever as long as money and their emotional awareness goes. If someone doesn’t have money but does have emotional awareness and mental awareness, they can go forever, their emotions and money and mind goes, which because those two are the two components of experience of life, They’re the immortal components, one can go for infinity based on their mind by using the mind accurately. And that’s what I’m doing. One has also spiritual backing. From my own lineage, I already have spiritual backing from two different lineages, but I also built my own spiritual backing by giving reverence to those who have come before in all different aspects of life that has given me their spiritual backing because those who have come before us want their creations to continue to be created or pondered on or expanded even. And also doing that is literally giving respect to their creations as well. So if it was to give respect to Einstein, for example, the way that I have gone about it and the ways that I would have gone about it if I hadn’t, I would leave the laws that he brought or expanded the laws that he brought. That’s how I give him immortality and his creations as well. And I’m bridging their creations of the past from the past in the circumstances of the present, making their creations not just memorable in memory, but also memorable in practice in the sense that I’m making it something that fitted in a different era, fit into this era as well. But of course, just like a wedding, we always go with something blue, which if we were to look at it from a metaphysical perspective, is like third chakra, something that speaks of expression, something that gives an expression, it’s beauty, it’s the accustomization, something from the past to bridge the to be the bridge of the past and the future to bring in the present and something new to bridge the new to the past as well. You know, and as through us, the person that’s getting married, it’s the exact same concept. We just don’t seem to be able to expand beyond it, beyond the use of this concept in scenarios that don’t genuinely benefit from that concept because a wedding, a wedding is an event, it’s done on itself. Sure, the person, the two people will live in the memories of that wedding. The guests might remember the event for a bit of time. But also, after… After a certain amount of time, it just becomes a wedding that we attended. And for the people, it just becomes pictures in a photo album of an event that was part of the relationship. But it doesn’t change life. It doesn’t change our existence. It doesn’t impact our existence. If we were to apply the something old, something new, and something blue, the something old is the laws of the universe, the ones that created us in the first place. Something new is the system of harmony that we have not experienced just yet. And something blue is expression. Use our expressions to bridge those two. Simple as that. It’s just that we like to complicate life instead of doing the one complicated thing that everyone is avoiding. Responsibility of.

Reason why I’m so confused by how south africans have forgotten their historical backing. They were the ones in apartheid, and now are recreating it for other africans in their country?! Don’t they realise other countries can do the same for the little south africans living there? Are they actually being smart about this…
