A modern slave is one used to reach a profitability mark in an extractive system, meaning the whole set up is structured to go upwards and the “bottom” line, only so as the hierarchy lives, is to build upwards outwardly, meaning work with the “customers” to suffice the quotas of an upward hierarchy. There’s one that wants money and power and then sees the most professional set up to build it as so.
A contributor is one that contributes to something that builds not just their role into the organisation, but one who’s existence is also regarded and integrated. It’s contributing to something who’s priority is to contribute to what you represent. The effort placed should be and is counterbalanced by the gain of the wholeness, not just within the organisation, but outside of it too.
One can be called employee in both cases, but only one extracts from them for selfish reasons and only one is aided for altruistic reasons.
The difference? Well selfish is what fills in the cup of one with the guise of filling others, as the provision is superficial and the altruistic is what might go through one to build something greater than them, where more benefit from the exact same contribution they would have done as a modern slave.
