How quick was that?! We might have allowe temporary staycay in Africa, but we’re geneually coughing all the disease out. There win’t be much left to go around for the rest… and then what?! Let me follow my people, if they can just cut the leeching out, I’m sure I can learn to say No too, eventually😅 and only when it matters.

From Extraction to Transformation. From Exporting Wealth to Building the Capacity to Keep Its Value. WHAT A TIME TO WITNESS AFRICA RISING!

OH, THIS DESERVES A CELEBRATION OF ITS OWN!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

And the timing could not have been more beautiful!

On 28 September 2026, Burkina Faso inaugurated its first national gold refinery, under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

And now, on 1 November 2026, Guinea has inaugurated its first gold refinery, Nimba Gold Refinery, under President Mamadi Doumbouya!

TWO WEST AFRICAN NATIONS. TWO HISTORIC MILESTONES. ONE EXTRAORDINARY MESSAGE.

AFRICA IS LEARNING TO KEEP MORE OF THE VALUE OF WHAT AFRICA PRODUCES! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

For generations, African soil has supplied the world with extraordinary wealth.

Gold, diamonds, oil, minerals, agricultural resources and so much more.

Our lands have enriched international industries, supported foreign economies and helped construct prosperity far beyond the communities from which those resources originated.

And now we are witnessing something worth celebrating.

The movement from simply possessing resources to developing the ability to transform them ourselves.

Because sovereignty isn’t merely declaring that something belongs to you.

It is developing the knowledge, infrastructure, skills and organisational capacity to determine what happens to it.

It is creating opportunities for your people to learn the industries surrounding their own resources.

It is understanding that the value of gold does not end when it leaves the ground.

There are engineers to educate, technologies to develop, industries to establish, workers to support and entire generations of expertise to cultivate.

THIS IS WHAT BUILDING CAPACITY LOOKS LIKE!

And I want the celebrations to reach beyond Guinea and Burkina Faso.

Because this is a moment for Africa to recognise what becomes possible when nations begin investing in the ability to process and develop their own resources.

To the workers who constructed these facilities, the engineers, the technicians, the miners, the educators, the planners and every individual whose contribution made these milestones possible:

THIS CELEBRATION IS YOURS TOO! ❤️

And may the next chapter be even more meaningful.

May the wealth generated translate into better living conditions, secure livelihoods, education, environmental protection, responsible stewardship and opportunities that extend to the ordinary people whose land holds these resources.

Because the greatest achievement will not merely be refining African gold on African soil. It will be ensuring that African lives are enriched by the value Africa creates.

That is the sovereignty worth building towards.

And from the perspective of SHS – Human First, witnessing these developments while we are actively challenging humanity to rethink how it organises resources, provision and economic dependency makes this moment especially meaningful.

AFRICA, MAY THIS BE THE BEGINNING OF SOMETHING FAR GREATER!

Not simply becoming richer within the world’s existing economic arrangements.

But becoming more capable of organising our resources, developing our people and determining our futures.

Today, we celebrate Guinea. 🇬🇳

Today, we celebrate Burkina Faso. 🇧🇫

Today, we celebrate the possibilities opening before an entire continent. 🌍

THE GOLD WAS ALWAYS THERE.

NOW LET THE KNOWLEDGE, THE CAPACITY, THE OPPORTUNITY AND THE BENEFITS GROW AT HOME TOO!

AFRICA, CONGRATULATIONS!!! 🎉🥇👑❤️
